Good to hear your voice in this Aaron. Didn't know your page had a blog until today :) I just always check Carrien's. Encouraging to hear your model. Sounds a lot like the school canteen program we have running here where we feed kids two hot meals per day. But the long goal is that their garden improves that they can grow their own produce to supply their own food, so we are in the midst of training them in gardening and agriculture. Their well is in now and makes it much easier for them to water the garden. Eventually the surplus produce will sell the the village, increase their own value and create a self-sustaining cycle where the village can care for itself. And yet we are just training, providing the wells and food supplies and starting the gardens, so I know how you feel :) We are starting health training, breastfeeding and nutrition courses out there next week. So much to do!! I am thankful to be full-time in the country though and look forward to the day when we can rejoice that you and Carrien and kids make it there too. Carry on my brother!

I am so sorry to hear about the final report of the social worker. That is just inexcusable! Unfounded allegations should always be closed. There is no reason honest people should have to have this happen to them. I'm glad the Charis Project arrived when it did!
