You did this.
You made this possible.
Thanks to your generosity in December we were able to send enough money for all of the children to have beds, and warm clothes and new shoes.
This wouldn’t have happened without you, your care, your partnership. Without you there is no Charis Project.
Thank-you for everything.
We’re looking forward to some really [...]

Some of you have asked us if there is something extra you could do this Christmas for the kids in the Charis Home. So we asked Chala what they need.
His answer was,”Beds, shoes, and warm clothes.”
The children sleep right now on thin mats on the concrete floor.
It is very cold for them now in this [...]

The marble shark spots his prey.

DING! DING! DING! DING! WINNER! WINNER! WINNER!
We together are the champions.

Once Chala fought with the Shan State Army to defend innocent villagers against the Burmese army that was intent on enslaving and killing them. Now he has about 40 children that he is struggling to keep alive. He found them all in the jungle, where he once ran and hid himself before crossing the border [...]

Time and time again I have been drawn to ask the question of why some societies fail while others prosper. Many explanations have surfaced over the years. Some of the worst address supposed inherent differences in intelligence between ethnic groups. Apart from this being evil it is totally lacking in any logic or evidence. Throughout [...]
